California
can't seem to stop her crying
pouring down her tears
and lots of rain
like an old familiar heartache
falling on my face
as if I were a cloud
forevermore
with thunder and lightning
running right behind me

into the cold winds that blow
through the broken windows of my life
where I just sit and go crazy
watching the rain gutters
get cluttered
with love and hate

tapping at my window
